Fantastic mouthpiece
"I was on the market for a new mouthpiece that would help create a dark sound but would also have an edge if pushed. I had seen reviews of JodyJazz mouthpieces on YouTube, but I was hesitant to purchase an expensive mouthpiece online without trying it out first. I heard Jody discuss their production process and their emphasis on consistency, so I decided to take the Six Questions survey on the website. I heard back from a Product Specialist within 48 hours who, based on my setup and the type of sound I was after, recommended the DV NY model, 7 tip opening. I've now played the mouthpiece for two weeks and I have to say it's fantastic! I'm able to achieve a beautiful, consistent tone throughout the horn. The setup is free blowing and very responsive. I have half a dozen other mouthpieces, but I honestly don't think I'll be using them. There are of course several elements involved in tone production aside from the mouthpiece, but at least for me, an intermediate amateur player, this mouthpiece is a great fit and enables me to focus on the most important, which is practice."
