PLEASE NOTE: ALL DV, DV JC, DV CHI & DV NY MODELS QUALIFY FOR THE TRIAL PROGRAM ONLY ON A LIMITED BASIS, SUBJECT TO THEIR AVAILABILITY, AND AT THE DISCRETION OF JODYJAZZ INC.

If you are ordering only one mouthpiece, please order directly from the website. Single mouthpieces are returnable subject to our Returns Policy Terms & Conditions.

Overview

Our Trial Program gives you the unique opportunity to compare multiple mouthpieces in the comfort of your own home before making your final decision.
Simply purchase one mouthpiece and we will send up to two additional models for side-by-side comparison. This allows you to experience the differences firsthand and confidently choose the perfect fit for your playing style.

How It Works

  1. Purchase one mouthpiece
  2. We will ship up to two additional mouthpieces at no additional cost (three mouthpieces in total)
  3. Evaluate the mouthpieces and decide which one you prefer
  4. Return the remaining mouthpieces to our factory within the allowed timeframe

Trial Period

You have 3 weeks (21 days) from the date your order ships to complete your trial.

This 3-week period includes:

  • Time to receive the mouthpieces
  • Time to evaluate them
  • Time for the return shipment to be in transit

All returns must be shipped back to our factory in Savannah, GA within this window.

Fees & Payment

At checkout, you will be charged for:

  • One mouthpiece (full retail price)
  • A sanitization fee for each mouthpiece included in the trial

Sanitization Fees:

  • $5 per mouthpiece under $300
  • $10 per mouthpiece $300 and above

Example

If you request three JodyJazz HR* Alto mouthpieces (5M, 6M, 7M):

  • 1 × HR* Alto Mouthpiece: $219
  • Cleaning Fee (3 × $5): $15

Total Charged at Checkout: $234

Refunds

After your trial:

  • If you return all mouthpieces, you will receive a full refund minus cleaning fees and original shipping costs
  • If you keep one mouthpiece:
    • Cleaning fees for the mouthpiece you keep will be refunded

Expedited/International Shipping is non-refundable.

What to Avoid

To prevent damage, we strongly recommend avoiding:

  • Metal ligatures (these commonly cause scratches)
  • Synthetic reeds (these commonly cause scratches)
  • Extended or heavy playing
  • Placing the mouthpiece on hard surfaces
  • Any handling that may result in visible wear

Inspection & Restocking Fee

All returned mouthpieces are inspected by our quality team.

If any visible wear or damage is found – no matter how minor – a 15% refurbishment and restocking fee will be applied.

This policy is strictly enforced with no exceptions.

Returns

Customers are responsible for:

  • Properly packaging all returns
  • Ensuring safe transit back to our facility
  • Shipping the return within the 3-week trial period

We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method.

B-Stock Mouthpieces

For customers ordering metal mouthpieces through our Trial Program, we may send B-Stock mouthpieces whenever possible. B-Stock mouthpieces are in perfect playing condition and perform identically to our standard production models, but may have minor cosmetic imperfections or small finish blemishes. As an added benefit, B-Stock mouthpieces are available at a 15% discount compared to standard retail pricing.

Abuse of Trial Program Privileges:

Those who violate the spirit of our Trial Program by requesting excessive ongoing trials or who return excessively damaged mouthpieces will be subject to immediate suspension of their Trial privileges.

Annual Trial Limitations:

Trials are limited to no more than 3 Trials per 12 month period per customer.
