David Olivas on the HR* Clarinet 1 & 2

I hated playing the clarinet until I tried the JodyJazz HR* Clarinet mouthpiece. That is not hyperbole. I’m a woodwind doubler, and I have tried an embarrassing number of mouthpieces trying to find something that would make the clarinet enjoyable. I bought an HR* 1 and 2. I kept them both, because they both play amazingly well. They were the first mouthpieces I’ve played that made the instrument feel like I could get out of it what I was putting into it. Beautifully free blowing, warm, full tone, reed friendly, and super in tune. I’ve been playing on these pieces for months now, and I’m finally enjoying the clarinet.
