"I have always had difficulty with large tip openings in my close to 30 years of semi-professionally/ music gigging. However in the last year 7s have become pretty easy. In my Quest to purchase the new Alto Quasar was going to get a 7 until I saw Jody's demonstration video of that piece and he recommended an 8. I purchased an 8 and it arrived yesterday afternoon. I started playing it with a softer reed and almost 3 hours later this piece is really amazing. Once again Jody and his staff have created another great product. The tone is great, easy blowing and the bottom sounds so good when I'm playing a song I take it down an octave just to hear it. I've never been great at the altissimo range and I even sound better on that range as well. If you don't give this one a try, you are truly missing out."
