Don Bullen ON CUSTOM DARK SOPRANO

Hi Jody. Don from the UK here. Opened the box and threw on an old 3S reed and this mouthpiece sung immediately. I can only imagine what another few weeks playing it will bring. Some players told me told that the YAMAHA 4CM stock ebonite soprano piece would be the best/easiest to start on again but I find both the top and bottom end on the 7* Custom Dark far easier to control. It expresses beauty and warmth and exactly what I hear in my head. It can still be pushed though if that's what you're feeling! I think I might have to retire the other horns and play soprano full time after this! Can you tell that I'm excited?! I love it. Thanks Jody. Best. Don
