"I bought the HR* Alto 5M as an upgrade for my Selmer S80 C* to get a less 'classical“ sound. Although I'm still a beginner the mouthpiece is very easy to play and control with this larger but still moderate tip opening. Very warm tones in the lower register, less 'aggressive“ in the upper register. The Selmer is outstanding regarding intonation, but the HR is very similar. It lets a lot of room to further improve your personal sound. Since I still only play at my home the dynamic range for me is more than enough."
