PURE JOY
The DV was gold plated, and I hope this doesn't offend you, but I had it silver plated to match my sax and Power Ring. This thing plays like a beast straight out of the box!! I didn't expect that I would be able to play it yet, but I was so mistaken, I felt right at home with it after just a matter of minutes. Wow! the bottom end was so immediately accessible and full-bodied, and I had so much control over pitch all the way to the high C second octave (I'm not at the altissimo zone just yet). So flexible and so, what's the word? chameleon-like, I guess. It morphs from one genre to the other, allowing me to express accurately, all the tonal inflections of whatever style of music I am playing. I feel really unrestrained, really liberated, and it fosters creativity and lively playing far beyond where I thought I was at. Anyhoooo... take care Jody, and thank you so much for the passion you put into Jody Jazz, as it facilitates the magic we are all trying to find in our music. This wonderful DV mouthpiece has done so much for me in a short time, and without any doubt, it takes me to Heaven every time I play. I couldn't ask for anything more in my life.
