The sound of love

"I bought this mouthpiece after researching extensively. I have a decent collection going but was still looking for something that wasn't there yet. The local shop I got it from gave me a 30 day period to try it out and return it if I didn't like it so I took it home and set it up to play.

Right off the bat I fell in love. It is super easy to play in all registers including the altissimo range. There is no need to push to get those really high notes, I find they come quite naturally now. The sound across the entire range though is what really hit me. It is a super warm tone that really brings out the natural fuzziness that distinguishes a woodwind from a brass instrument. I find it naturally gives what many might describe as a classic New York sound. When I push the mouthpiece I find it cuts easily and I can get really aggressive with my sound. It also responds nicely to growling for that really dirty sax sound that so many people love in rock.

The mouthpiece didn't come with a ligature so I threw my Rovner Dark on and it worked out well.
That first night I played for a solid three hours pretty much continuously and only stopped because I'd reached a point where I couldn't feel most of my mouth. This mouthpiece makes me want to pick up my sax pretty much constantly. I am looking forward to spending a lot of time getting to know it and exploring every little sound I can get out of it.

Thank you for producing such a beautiful mouthpiece."
