Wow! Really amazing
"This has way too long coming to the saxophone world, here are my thought after playing both my alto and tenor with the power ring On Jody Jazz DV 7* mouthpieces .
1. setting reed is super easy an fast ready to go in seconds
2. subtle changes in tone, nothing radical. more harmonic content.
3. gives me much more control over the power of tone. Where before it was a little challenging to blow soft low tones with the DV's , it is now super easy and super responsive to the blow
4. looks amazing, My tenor mouthpiece is a platinum anniversary edition and looks very nice with the gold ring on it, gives it a nice 2 tone look of high end jewelry.
5. it really reduces the resistance of the reed and I find there is much less effort in the altissimo range, it also give me more control over the intonation and color of my altissimo notes. I believe this is due to more harmonic content in the tone making it easier to hit the note you are looking for and lets you do it with minimal additional odd fingerings
