I love the Hr 6M. I’m playing lead alto in our collegiate jazz ensemble, and I finally have that sound of vintage rubber. My saxophone has become my best friend within the past several months, and I want to thank you for this piece of work.
I Just bought this Jody Jazz HR* at a Sam Ash sore, I got to try all their mouthpieces. From Meyer to Otto Link and all the Vandoren ones. I just fell in love with this Mouthpiece and it is at an AMAZING low price. COMPLETELY WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!!! i also use Vandoren ZZ reeds with it and it works like a charm. I recommended this Mouthpiece to EVERYONE at my high school. Thank You soooo much Jody it is amazing Mouthpiece!!!!
i played a dukoff d7 vor ages – by accident i had the chance to try your HRs – i just love them! why? the 6M i own gives me a veery great flexibility in sound-expression. then i tried the HR 8 on tenor: it will replace my meyer M6 😉 great response, very rich sound for a hard rubber mtpc – i tried the metal ones to, but i like the HR more, even when playing fusion stuff:-) i use both HRs with harry hartmann’s fiberreed reeds.

“I met Jody Espina At the Saxophone Summit and played two of his brand new Jody Jazz DV bass sax mouthpieces.
They were superb pieces – the nicest balance of warmth, power, and richness I have yet come across in a modern mainstream-type jazz mouthpiece for bass.
Very playable and responsive from bottom to top of the instrument. Even though I don’t usually like metal mouthpieces, I am seriously considering purchasing one myself as soon as I can afford it.
