I have always steered towards a dark tone and finding a mouthpiece that was designed to enhance this aspect of my playing has really given me the chance to take my sound to the next level. I also use a DV NY on my baritone; this mouthpiece is something special and has changed my entire perception of metal mouthpieces, which I have always tried to move away from. “I never found a Baritone Saxophone mouthpiece that I liked until I played my SUPER JET. It gives me all the power I could possibly need without taking anything away from the speed and agility. In the bottom register of the horn the response is incredible allowing you to punctuate your articulations with clarity that I’ve never experienced before. And the altissimo sings beautifully!
