“A world-class big band is impossible without a sax section that truly blends. JodyJazz mouthpieces give the Crescent Super Band the consistency, precision, and tone necessary across all our saxes for that to happen. “

Ryan Burrage

“Jody, as you can recall you sent me the Ruby Red JodyJazz Clarinet mouthpiece #8 with the spoiler. After playing around with that one, I then went with a Ruby Red #9 with the spoiler. All I can say is this is a great mouthpiece. You’ve known me for some time and know that I have been heavily influenced by the old New Orleans Albert system clarinet players (Dodds, Bechet, Bigard, etc) so I prefer the more open tip. I’ve never played a mouthpiece with a very open tip which was consistently easy to play throughout the whole range of the horn: from low E to double high E!!! I can push the mouthpiece enough to play forcefully, and it subtones nice in the low register quite well. Thanks Jody, and keep up the great work!”

Fred Vigdor

“I’m not really a mouthpiece guy. I had played on the same mouthpieces for years, and wasn’t one of those cats constantly experimenting with different pieces, but I had a couple of friends, whose opinions I respected, tell me about Jody’s mouthpieces. I tried them and was immediately a convert…”

Sam Skelton

“As soon as I played the DV CHI tenor mouthpiece, I knew it was going to me be my main piece and my Link would become my backup. The mouthpiece is a work of art. It articulates like nothing I’ve ever played and the projection is amazing with no loss of tone integrity. It has a beautiful “ping” yet has depth and width with a true three-dimensional sound. Brilliant job, Jody!!.”

“I have used many mouthpieces throughout my career. For me, the JodyJazz mouthpieces are simply the best. Jody has developed a variety of metal and rubber mouthpieces. They are flexible and play beautifully.”

Tom Scott

“The day I first played JodyJazz DV Saxophone Mouthpieces I became instantly converted. No other sax mouthpieces can match them!”
