“Just letting you know that the GIANT is the best Metal piece (can I say metal) on the scene today. Big, complex, huge, easy blow, reed-friendly and coming from rubber, it’s got a big comfort level. I had been playing a HR* hard rubber mouthpiece and wanted to go back to a metal after 10 years of playing it. I found it very hard to do until I played the GIANT. It has a profile of a hard rubber mouthpiece. After an hour playing it I thought I was playing a rubber piece. The GIANT has a beautiful sound with just the right amount of resistance. The spread on the bottom part of the horn is glorious. It is very reed friendly and has all the power I need and can go from double pp to ff in a heartbeat!! What else could you want in a mouthpiece?”

“Pop saxophone is all about tone, projection and cutting through the band. I put a lot of air through a large setup, and until recently, I never realized just how hard I was working. Now, on the JodyJazz DV, a huge sound, great intonation, and consistent altissimo are seemingly effortless. I won’t play anything else. Many thanks Jody Espina and the JodyJazz crew. “

“The tone is wonderful and flexible and the dynamic range is best I’ve experienced in a mouthpiece allowing for control at barely audible and full and loud when needed without become harsh or tinny. The horn is singing to me, let’s play.”

Rick Condit

“Finally I’ve found the perfect combination of tenor mouthpieces for every situation. Using the DV Tenor 7* for rock, pop and contemporary jazz gives me all the power and precision I could ever want. The HR Alto 6M is great for intimate acoustic settings and a warmer, sound. With both of these in my case, I’m ready for any gig.”

“As soon as I heard a friend playing his new JodyJazz mouthpiece I asked what had changed. I ran to a dealer and immediately fell in love with it. It’s hard to believe that one mouthpiece can offer such a wide color range–dark and warm to bright and bold, soft & tender to loud and powerful–and be so consistent top to bottom and so freeblowing and have such a big center, all at the same time. Altissimo too! My tenor Classic and my Alto DV have made my sound more voicelike, and invariably the first thing that listeners respond to in my sax playing. I’m trying the DV on tenor next!.”

“The JodyJazz HR* mouthpieces that I use on both alto and tenor sax and the Classic Black mouthpiece I use on soprano are the epitome of “complete” for the type of playing that I do. The versatility that I’m called to perform, and hence demand of my mouthpieces — everything from straight ahead jazz and screaming R&B to classical symphony pops — is comfortably apparent through the effortlessness I experience with your mouthpieces. I think it is safe to say that the saxophone community should now feel at ease in cleaning out their drawers of unused mouthpieces. I know the ones on my horn now are the ones I’ll use from now on. Jody, thanks for sharing your gifts as a mouthpiece expert with us.”

Caleb Chapman

“A world-class big band is impossible without a sax section that truly blends. JodyJazz mouthpieces give the Crescent Super Band the consistency, precision, and tone necessary across all our saxes for that to happen. ”

Tanique Fossa

“Dear Jody, I’ve been playing the JodyJazz DV #7 for last two and a half years and since than I forgot the meaning of “bad response”. The DV gives me confidence in any acoustic situation. I can play on the edge of silence and I can be as loud as I need to be with no lack of control. The JJ DV gives me a bright powerful contemporary sound, which fits perfectly with the kind of music I play. Thank You for Your Work and Passion.”
